| Crystal Morgan I attended college at the Colorado Institute of Art majoring in Visual Communications. There I worked with computer graphics, package design, industrial design while refining my skills with drawing and painting. I graduated with a degree in visual communications that enabled me to do graphic design. With offers from website design companies, I still wanted to do my own art.
I started working at a printing company where I learned about the process of large format printing. While working there, I developed an interest in glass etching and woodcarving. I called a local company to sign up for glass etching classes and was turned on to stained glass. I enjoyed taking the classes and took advanced classes. Once my friends found out that I was doing stained glass, I started getting orders. I was being asked if I had a website that they could go to. It was getting to the point that I could not keep up the orders and also work 40hrs a week at work. Now I am making them in bulk so I have some ready at all times.
I have a wide range of things that I do with stained glass. They range from lanterns, to panels to sun catchers. Each one is unique in style and color. I am always trying to learn more types of media to further my skills. Right now I’m dabbling in hot glass, which deals with working with a kiln. If anybody has comments or questions, don’t hesitate to ask them.
